Everybody loves a red lipped classic makeup look , and apparently I'm no exception to this. Also yes, I may have gotten the inspiration for this whilst listening to Taylor Swift but who doesn't love Taylor.
I feel like this makeup look overall is more suited to a night look or you could change it up into a day - to - night by switching out lip colours. The lip colour I used was actually a lip stain but I don't know where it came from as the writing had scratched off, but any pretty red lipstick will work.
First of all I started with my usual makeup base , a heavy moisturiser (because i have extremely dry skin) and the benefit porefessional primer. I find that even though the benefit primer might be a little bit more on the expensive side it gets the job done perfectly and smooths out your complexion.
I then continued by using the MAC mineralise foundation in the shade light plus . The Mac powder foundation is great because you can either have really sheer coverage or you can build it up to a medium coverage without it looking orange or cakey. I then concealed using the soap and glory kick ass concealer under my eyes and the collection lasting perfection on any imperfections.
For bronzer I used the Barry M get up and glow which gives a little bit of a shimmer on your cheeks, especially when paired with the tarte 'talented' blush. For a highlight I then added a very small amount of the benefit high beam liquid highlighter.
My eyebrows whilst putting together this makeup kind of had a mind of their own and they were a bit off looking and wild but I used my soap and glory 2 in 1 eyebrow pencil in 'brownie points' which I find to be a great dupe for the Anastasia Beverly Hills brow wiz
For my eye makeup I began by using the gold maybeline colour tattoo as a base to keep my eyeshadow in place , then proceeding to use ''half baked" from naked 2 all across my eyelid , 'chopper' from naked 2 in the crease , a shade of highlight from a tarte palette I can't find the name of anywhere , and 'busted' from naked 2 on the outer corner . I then lined my eyes using the collection felt tip eyeliner and used my favourite tarte 'gifted' mascara. This mascara is amazing because it adds so much volume and thickness to your lashes whilst the Amazonian clay in the mascara makes your lashes healthy and happy.
As previously mentioned I sadly don't know the lip colour I used as the packaging was plain and the writing had scratched off but any red shade of lipstick would work with this makeup look.
Will you be trying this out for yourself?
