NEW LOOK PURE COLOUR REVIEW

New Look Pure Colour baked eyeshadow and highlighter

Over the weekend i went on the hunt to find a new pigmented *DRUGSTORE* bronze eyeshadow and a new highlighter as i realised the bronze eyeshadow i previously owned was not massively pigmented and would often fade out during the day and my poor benefit highlighter was coming to the end of its life.

Upon searching through the New Look sale i came across their makeup stand and swatched the bronze eyeshadow on my hand to see if i liked the colour (see the swatches above) and i decided i did and bought both the eyeshadow and the highlighter

Upon first glance the highlighter seems to have a very pink undertone and appears very shimmery to the touch when you are first swatching on your hand or arm. The product itself is a little dusty and you are left with residue/powder after you sweep your brush across it, however because it claims to be a baked product it is actually quite pigmented and you don't need a lot on the brush at all. This should mean if you like it the product itself is going to last you a while.

On the skin the product can appear a little bit orangey depending on your skin tone, I'd recommend it for more tan or dark skinned people. The actual highlight and shimmer of the product itself is visible for a little while but will need touching up throughout the day, as do most drugstore highlighters.

Part of me didn't expect to but i actually really love this colour, I'm wearing it in the selfie above (as well as the highlighter) and its a really pretty bronze/gold colour. This product is super pigmented and only takes a couple of sweeps of the brush to get enough product to cover your entire eyelid, on top of this its also build able so if you wanted a really subtle bronze its also possible.

For me, applying an eyeshadow primer underneath this product did make it last all day and i didn't need to touch it up at all which i was super happy with. After using the highlighter i expected the little bit of powdery residue you do get that falls off of the brush, but luckily it didn't cause any fallout on my face.

Are these products available online?
Currently New Look do not stock their makeup range online but i have seen it in quite a few stores so if you do have a New Look store local to you it might be worth going in and having a look.
