If you're a vegan , or just simply don't like the fact your makeup has had to hurt an animal before being on your face you probably like/ only use cruelty free makeup . I'll be the first to admit not EVERY single one of my makeup products is cruelty free but I'm certainly doing my best to make the switch.
Here are 5 of my favourite drugstore and 5 of my favourite high end cruelty free makeup brands and my favourite of their products.
HIGH END :
Urban Decay - UD are committed to ending animal testing. They do not test our products on animals, nor do they allow others to test on our behalf. To be quite honest, id be lying if i said the classic Naked palette wasn't my favourite from them. Everyone loves some pretty nude eyeshadows.
Too Faced - Even Too Faced brushes are vegan. They are completely cruelty free and have a list of their vegan products here . The Too Faced chocolate bar palette is my favourite because the colours are just super pretty and pigmented .
Anastasia Beverly Hills - Anastasia are probably best known for their AMAZING brow products and being the queens of contouring, but obviously my favourite has to be the brow wiz ( believe me if you can never find a colour to match your brows you'll find it there).
Becca - Although some Becca products are not completely vegan they are still cruelty free. If you're already a fan of Becca cosmetics you'll know how absolutely beautiful the shimmering skin highlighter is. Glows for days with that little beauty .
Hourglass - I heard about hourglass through Beauty vlogger Ingrid Nilsen and when i saw the shades of their ambient lighting blush i think i died a little.
DRUGSTORE :
Milani - Although you can't always find Milani in store in the UK their baked products are beautiful! The colours are so so pretty and pigmented.
NYX - NYX don't have a list of which of their products are specifically vegan so id check the labels but they are for sure cruelty free, and its pretty well known that the NYX matte lip creams are to die for.
E.L.F - Eyes Lips Face are known for being cheap and affordable, and even though this does effect the quality of their products occasionally i love their lipstick collections!
Surprisingly this was all i could find for cruelty free drugstore brands i've used in the past but there were still plenty more of high end brands on the market that were cruelty free or vegan. So if you enjoy high end makeup and you're looking to find vegan/cruelty free products you should have no problem .. drugstores however might prove a little harder.
